Case Study

Claremont Park, Brent Cross Town

Forest Pennant natural boulders

A community space to be active, to play and socialise

Claremont Park is the first of seven parks in the neighbourhood of Brent Cross, part of a regeneration programme. The design has been guided by a set of principles that include: encouraging social spaces, improving connectivity, accessibility and inclusivity and creating real opportunities for play, leisure, exercise and sport. It was designed by Townshend Landscape Architects and HTA Design and brings new life to a green space for the local community.

The playground takes its inspiration from the local river Brent with the design reflecting the narrative of the natural meandering river and landscape. We supplied natural Forest Pennant boulders to Hardscape for the scheme which are designed to encourage scrambling and splashing in the new park, which is at the heart of the scheme. The natural features, from the wildflowers to the natural stone elements will help to improve the local area's biodiversity.
